The French engineering school of Paper and Printing -EFPG (Ecole Française de Papeterie et des Industries Graphiques)-, located in Grenoble (France), is offering a specialised Master Program in Pulp and Paper Science in 9 months. The originality of this program is to deliver specific knowledge especially in Paper Physics (88h) and Papermaking Engineering (64h). This knowledge both fundamental and applied cannot be found in any other textbook. At the end of the session, a Master certificate is delivered by the INPG (National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble) a renowned University of Science and Technology in Grenoble.

The purpose of this program is to give a qualification in the field of pulp and paper science and technology to graduate people interested in a career in Pulp, Paper and allied industries. It includes pulping, bleaching, papermaking industries, coating, paper recycling, paper properties, environmental and economical aspects. This program is open to both French and foreign people possessing already a Master or an equivalent diploma in another engineering discipline. All lectures are given in English.
EFPG "From fiber to paper - From screen to print"
Based in Grenoble, the capital of the French Alps, the EFPG is a university level engineering school that comes under the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble. At the EFPG, students receive specialised training to become future professionals in the fields of pulp making, paper engineering, cardboard converting and printing technologies.
Being the only engineering school of its kind in France, the EFPG offers a diversified programme that includes all the basic disciplines required for an engineer to the specific fields of EFPG.

The program has a total duration of 9 months run in an intensive way during 4,5 months from mid-September to end of January. A 4,5 month thesis work has to be completed from the beginning of February to mid-June. The topic may be, either industrial or Research & development nature provided that scientific aspects are covered.

Admission requirements and Tution fees
Admission to the "Specialized Master in Pulp and Paper Science" is based on the following requirements :

A completed Master of Engineering, Master of Science or equivalent (diplôme d'ingénieur) ; ![]()
A score of 550 or better on the Test of English as a foreign Language (TOEFL) ; ![]()
Acceptance by the admission committee ; ![]()
Payment of the tuition fees. Regular tuition fees are 10 000 Euros. The admission committee, may take a decision upon request after close examination to the particular cases.
